"COMPOSITES EUROPE" and "ALUMINIUM 2014" - Exibitions in Düsseldorf
Special attention has been paid to composite materials used in shipbuilding and aircraft construction, as they have become oneof the key materials in technology of the creation of light weight structures for hovercrafts’ bodies today. We were particularly interested in new design of Future Carbon GmbH, polymer system based on carbon nanotubes, which allows you to improve the properties of composite materials made of glass and carbon fibers up to 300%, so the tensile strength at break, tensile and interlaminars hear improved by70%!
Our attention was also drawn by alight sportcar Roadster from a small German company Roding Automobile. This is their firstcreated car. Roding Roadster is the lightest of sports cars-its weight is only 950kg. Such a little vehicle weight has been caused by the use of carbon fiber and aluminum chassis and body panels made of fiberglass. Removable roof of the caris made of carbon fiber.
The 10th International Exhibition and Congress of the aluminum industry "ALUMINIUM 2014" also took place those days in Düsseldorf . We saw more than 950 exhibits from 50 countries who have demonstrated the use of aluminum in various areas such as automobile production, construction, aviation, shipbuilding and engineering development..
